The new offices of a community- led housing organisation in Birmingham have been officially opened.
Castle Vale Community Housing Association has moved to a purpose-built base in Reed Square, which is part of a development scheme incorporating a new police station, community college, shops and flats.
This secures its long-term future on the city's largest estate and provides a community asset worth £1.5 million.
CVCHA was founded eight years ago as one of the UK's few independent tenant-led associations and has played an important role in the regeneration of the estate, now managing around 2,500 homes there.
Peter Richmond, chief executive of the association, said: "We needed a larger base as part of our expansion and the premises in Reed Square mean improved reception and meeting room facilities for tenants and more effective working for staff."
