A new time-lapse video has been produced showing the birth of the £8 million iCentrum building on land next to Birmingham Science Park Aston.

The 41,700 sq ft hub is due to be completed by March 2016 and will be home to, it is hoped, around 400 workers in the tech sector including start-ups using its incubation facilities.

iCentrum is the first of four buildings planned for land next to Faraday Wharf, in Holt Street, which collectively make up the Innovation Birmingham Campus and it is estimated this first building will generate £25 million of GVA to the local economy per year.

The top floor will feature a range of flexible office suites for companies while the first floor will be home to Innovation Birmingham's 'Serendip' incubator.

In addition to the video, our gallery below contains five new CGIs which give more indication of how the finished building will look.
