Demand for flexible office space in central Birmingham has continued to grow over the last year, according to industry experts.
Data from officebroker.com found a 40 per cent increase in the number of individual firms in Birmingham securing serviced office space between January and June, compared to the same period in 2012.
Rental rates have also increased by 21 per cent. They have risen from an average of £196 per desk per month from January to June of 2012 to £238 this year. This places Birmingham above the national average, excluding central London.
When compared with other major cities, Birmingham was one of the most expensive places in the country for serviced office space.
A spokesman for officebroker.com said: “A key benefit to businesses is the range of flexible office space available in the city centre, with corporate and casual needs being covered.”
