Kings Norton Business Centre has scored a perfect ten in 2010 by sucuring a record number of lettings over the year.
Together with joint agents DTZ and Harris Lamb, landlord SEGRO completed ten new lettings at the estate totalling over 58,000 sq ft. The lettings range from office space to warehouse units and, in total, account for just under £500,000 worth of rental value.
Located on a 60 acre estate in south Birmingham, KNBC comprises approximately 800,000 sq ft of warehouse, production and office accommodation and is currently home to more than 80 companies, employing around 1,250 people.
John Sambrooks, associate director in DTZ’s Birmingham industrial and logistics team, said: “Despite difficult market conditions, KNBC has remained a popular choice for occupiers keen to take advantage of its excellent transport links, high quality business space and a community feel. We anticipate there will be sustained demand for space at the development this year with occupiers keen to take advantage of our low price for high quality space deals.”
The largest deal of the year was the letting of 18,190 sq ft of office accommodation to Equiniti, part of the Lloyds Banking Group, who took at five year lease on two floors of Kingsgate House. The third floor is currently being refurbished.
