A well known Birmingham property entrepreneur has taken her business to a new level by taking space in the heart of the city’s business district.

FleetMilne Residential, which was launched by Nicola Fleet-Milne in 2004, is moving from its current base at Waterfont Walk at the back of the Mailbox to 85-89 Colmore Row.

While lettings has been its core business, it launched a sales arm a year ago and Ms Fleet-Milne said the move reflected the company’s growth plans.

“At the moment we are 14 strong but we now have space to seat 30,” she said.

“Sales has now been running for a year and has gone better than we had hoped so we are hoping to continue to expand in the coming year.

“Having enjoyed rapid growth in our offices to the rear of the Mailbox, we felt it was time to move right into the business core of the city centre.

“The majority of our clients and applicants work in and around the Colmore Row area. We wanted to make ourselves as accessible as possible, not only in terms of location but also by extending our opening hours so people can come to see us before and after work too.

"We’ve had our eye on Colmore Row for some time, so it was just a case of timing. Also moving into the business district means we will be taken even more seriously.”

FleetMilne Residential has signed a 10-year lease for 2,009 sq ft on the ground floor at the Grade II listed 85-89 Colmore Row building, with a five-year break option.

GBR Phoenix Beard’s Richard Fletcher-Brewer is the letting agent for 85-89 Colmore Row on behalf of owners Maximus, the privately owned investment property company.

“85-89 Colmore Row is the perfect choice for FleetMilne. The high visibility of the office at the junction of Colmore Row and Newhall Street, combined with the historic backdrop of the building will be a real draw for the company’s target market.

"Maximus has invested heavily in the building infrastructure, making this an iconic location with the added ‘wow’ factor.”
