Warwick’s famous Eastgate and some prime river frontage will be the prize lots at a forthcoming auction in the town.

The auction by auctioneer James Hawkesford, managing director of the family-run firm of chartered surveyors and estate agents, will take place at the Warwick Arms Hotel on April 14.

He said: “Apart from the obvious interest in the Grade II listed* Eastgate, which has a guide price of £125,000, we also expect strong bidding for a 13.5-acre parcel of river frontage pasture/grazing land at Guy’s Cliffe, Warwick, which is currently used for horses and stabling, and which also has fishing rights and car boot sales in the summer.”
