A successful Birmingham interior design practice has launched a new arm aimed at tapping into the leisure market.
Jewellery Quarter-based Monteith Scott launched Monteith Scott Play to design and deliver interiors in the leisure sector following the successful earlier launch of Monteith Scott Work which specifically targets the office market.
The combination of the launch of Play and growth in its existing client base has seen staff numbers at the firm increase, with turnover doubling.
Among the firm’s list of clients are TUI, The NEC Group and Reed Smith.
Managing director Alison Monteith said: “Our promise of delivering creative commercial certainty to our clients is paying off, for them and us.
“I strongly believe that in such a tough market, the growth in our Work portfolio has been testament to the freshness, flexibility and passion we bring to every job.
“A prime reason for the formation of our new leisure company, Play, was the addition to the team of Gordon Thompson as an associate.
“Gordon brings to 23 years of unbeatable leisure industry experience.
“With such a solid team in place, we now feel in a very strong position to be able to provide high quality design and delivery to even more schemes across the UK. It really is a case of watch this space.”
Monteith Scott Play’s clients already number some of the UK’s leading leisure brands, including Pitcher and Piano, Chameleon, Walkabout and Anglia Restaurants.
As part of its expansion, Monteith Scott recently moved from St. Paul’s Square into larger premises in the Jewellery Quarter.
