Six Midlands property professionals have come together to take part in this month’s Flora London Marathon to raise awareness and sponsorship for the work of deaf, blind and rubella charity Sense.

The venture is not the first time the team, comprising Richard Meering of M3, Mike Trainer of Wragge & Co, Alan Sarjant of Prologis, Andrew Spittle of Pace Property, Jonathan Cox of Oswin Developments and Tim Andrews of Hollywood Signs and Monster Digital, have got together to run and raise money for the charity.

Otherwise know as the ‘Property Plodders’, this year the team is appealing for support in the hope to raise over £10,000, in a race that will also mark a special personal achievement for a couple of the team members. It marks Alan and Tim’s fifth and final race of the ‘world major series’, which also included four other marathons across the world in Chicago, New York, Berlin and Boston, all of which the runners have taken part in over the last five years.

Mr Andrews, managing director of Hollywood Signs and Monster Digital, said: “We are urging our friends, colleagues and members of the public to help us raise over £10,000, which in this current climate may be as challenging as the race itself!

“Despite the obvious downturn, we are hopeful that support for the team and the charity will remain high and we can continue to make a worthy contribution for this fantastic charity.”
