Property investment group M&G has been linked to the Two Snowhill office building in Birmingham city centre.

The building, which was developed by and is still owned by Hines and Ballymore, has already been in the news this week after it was announced it would house 1,500 staff working on HS2.

A report on CoStar now claims that M&G Investments is in talks to buy the 14-storey office block which is already home to law firm Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co and serviced office company i2 Office.

The Government announced yesterday that it would be putting the HS2 construction company into the Colmore Business District building while a new urban regeneration company is also to be set up to capitalise on development opportunities around the Curzon Street HS2 terminal.

Two Snowhill is expected to attract a price of at least £155 million.

After a difficult birth, in which a half-constructed building stood untouched for two and a half years, Two Snowhill eventually welcomed its first occupants last year.

It has 314,000 sq ft of office space with Wragge occupying 185,000 sq ft, i2 Office letting 23,500 sq ft and HS2 due to take 100,000 sq ft.

Both Hines and M&G Investments declined to comment when contacted by the Post .
