The first phase of the rebirth of Longbridge town centre has been awarded a prestigious national award.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) awarded the project by Birmingham-based St Modwen the regeneration prize at its 2015 grand final.
Held at London's Dorchester Hotel, the ceremony brought together all the regional winners from earlier this year to pick national champions across a series of categories.
Completed this year, the first phase of the new-look Longbridge town centre includes a new Sainsbury's, Premier Inn hotel, Beefeater Grill, Costa Coffee and other shops and offices.
The town centre element is part of the wider £1 billion regeneration of Longbridge following the collapse MG Rover in 2005 and includes the region's biggest Marks and Spencer, new roads and houses and Bournville College.
Mike Murray, senior development surveyor at St Modwen, said: "We are honoured to have been recognised for our work on the Longbridge town centre development.
"We want to continue our award-winning work in the built environment sector and hope that this win will inspire other professionals in the industry to reach the very highest standards in their own work and benefit the local communities they serve."
The RICS Awards celebrate inspirational initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment from across the UK.
BBC journalist Sian Williams hosted the ceremony which was attended by 400 guests from across the construction and built environment industries.
