Regeneration group St Modwen has been given the green light for its plans to build two new industrial units in Tamworth.
The project, on Centurion Park, will see the speculative build of a pair of warehouses which are expected to create up to 260 jobs.
Work on the 52,500 sq ft first unit is due to begin next month which will be followed by the construction of a 153,000 sq ft unit, creating an additional 200,000 sq ft of employment space at Centurion Park.
Jonathan Green, development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: "Centurion Park is one of the most sought after locations in the Midlands region due to its superb transport links.
"Gaining planning permission for these two new units means that we can go some way towards addressing the demand for space.
"We are already receiving calls from businesses interested in the space, which will create employment opportunities for light industrial, storage and distribution industries."
