An expanding construction and groundwork company is building for the future with a move to a new HQ.

West Point Construction has bought the former Brooklyn Ford commercial vehicle site in Redditch for an undisclosed "six-figure" sum.

The company has taken 6,054 sq ft of offices set in 1.1 acres.

Carl Lovell of West Point Construction said: "It is a great location. It will enable us to take the next step change.

"We have successfully established a reputation within the industry for quality and high levels of productivity, together with a focused approach to health and safety, innovation with regard to value added engineering, and problematic ground condition solutions.

"We believe this broad range of expertise is unique to West Point and that is why we are winning new business and extending our client base."

Ian Parker, a partner with property consultancy John Truslove which engineered the deal, said: "Business confidence is on the rise across the board and companies are looking to grow and develop.

"West Point Construction is a very active, go-ahead concern which is well regarded in the sector. It is great to see it doing well."
