Fidelity National Information Services, (FIS) - a worldwide leader of payment processing and technology solutions to financial services and retail organisations - has signed a new ten-year lease on 25,000 sq ft of office space at the newly refurbished Tricorn House in Edgbaston as part of plans to consolidate its Midlands operation.

Arranged by property consultant DTZ, the deal is the largest in Edgbaston for over 18 months and will enable FIS to bring together over 200 staff currently based in various locations across Birmingham.

Tricorn House features newly refurbished, high specification air-conditioned office accommodation with 15,100 sq ft floor plates complete with on-site car parking.

In addition to the high quality office refurbishment, Tricorn House has undergone a major investment programme. This includes new high-speed lifts, facilities for disabled people and the creation of a new 7,000 sq ft reception/breakout area with informal meeting and cafe facilities for the tenants.

At 25,000 sq ft, this is the biggest office deal in Edgbaston since the Big Lottery Fund took around 60,000 sq ft at Apex House in August 2006. The Big Lottery Fund was also advised by DTZ.

David Tonks, head of office agency at DTZ in Birmingham, said: "This is an important deal for the Edgbaston office market and highlights the area's attractiveness to office occupiers."
