An organisation that aims to help improve the performance of the social housing sector in the UK has doubled the size of its Coventry home.
HouseMark helps its 860 member organisations across the country to improve performance and achieve value for money in the sector.
The organisation, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, has just moved from a 3,000 sq ft office to a 6,000 sq ft base at Riley Court at the University of Warwick Science Park.
It has now grown to 35 staff – many of which are based in the office, with some working from home in the regions – and the new unit offers more meeting space, an IT suite and training facilities.
The new space is also being shared with four staff from partner organisation ConsultCIH.
Janet Richards, Director of Corporate Services for HouseMark, said being able to grow within the same location was a major benefit for the organisation.
She said: “We moved here in 2004 and have been extremely pleased with the Science Park as a base and with Riley Court in particular.
“Our business has grown over the course of the years and we now offer many more services, including consultancy, in the field of social housing.
“That has led to this expansion. We need to be able to accommodate more staff here but we also needed additional space to hold more events and training programmes for social landlords.
“To be able to expand here at the same site at such a highly-regarded location has made the transition extremely smooth.”
