A national utility specialist from the construction sector has opened a new office in the West Midlands as it looks to expand into the region.
Energetics - which has its head office in Glasgow - has taken a warehouse and office at Coleshill in Warwickshire after securing contracts on a number of projects in the West Midlands.
Bill Mcsheffery, the company’s major developments manager, said: “The Midlands is a key region for Energetics, as strategically it is the focus for our ongoing expansion plans.
“Although the business has its headquarters in Glasgow, almost half of all Energetics projects are in England and Wales.
“We have been active in the Midlands for some time now, and we are therefore well on the way to establishing a strong client base in the region, together with an enviable project portfolio.”
The company provides infrastructure for major gas, electric and water on commercial and residential projects and also manages the networks.
In the West Midlands it is currently working on a number of developments including the Regenerating North Solihull scheme where it has provided utility infrastructure for a Bellway housing estate.
The company currently has more than 1,000 utilty networks across the UK and has plans for a further three new offices across the region with a view to doubling its workforce by 2013.
“We believe the time is right to expand and commit to larger premises here in the Midlands, enabling us to build on this position and ensuring we can quickly capitalise on any opportunities – all of which will ultimately speed us toward our growth targets,” added Mr Mcsheffery.
“At the heart of everything we do is our vision to be recognised as the number one utility provider and manager in the UK, for performance, reliability and safety; and as we continue to increase our presence throughout the Midlands, we are well on course to achieving this.”
