Birmingham-based Lovell has appointed David Gough as the company’s new regional director for the Midlands.

Mr Gough has been promoted from his previous role as commercial manager for Lovell in the Midlands and is based at the company’s offices at the Woodgate Business Park, Woodgate Valley.

In his new role, Mr Gough leads the company’s housing regeneration and refurbishment operations across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire.

Key projects for Lovell in the Midlands include a £16 million sustainable housing development at an estate at Warstock, south Birmingham, where Lovell is building 116 homes for rent, shared ownership and sale, with Black Country Housing Group and Birmingham City Council. The company is also working on Sandwell Homes’ £80 million external improvement programme for high-rise blocks in Sandwell.

Lovell is continuing work on an £8.4 million three-year housing improvement programme for Dudley Council. Lovell is also working on a 41-home, £4.23 million sustainable housing development on behalf of Midland Heart in Winson Green.

“David’s industry expertise and knowledge of the region put him in an excellent position to lead our Midlands regional team,” said Lovell managing director Stewart Davenport.

Mr Gough joined Lovell 10 years ago as senior surveyor.
