A Midland property developer has moved into a new home after trading Warwickshire for Worcestershire.

Hinton Properties has taken a 1,850 sq ft office at Reims House, Bromsgrove.

The retail and leisure developer and investor has moved from Warwick to accommodate its expanding team.

Cherelle Greenaway has joined the company’s existing three strong in-house architectural design team as a graduate architectural technician. Her appointment follows the recruitment of Jon Hinton as development director in June.

Hinton Properties has taken a five-year lease; the landlord is a private local investor.

The developer currently has four schemes on site in Worcester, Tamworth, Malvern and Birkenhead, with planning applications to be imminently submitted on sites in Cheltenham and Madeley.

James Hinton, managing director of Hinton Properties, said: “We have a number of schemes along the M5 and M40 corridors, so our new HQ is ideally placed for serving those.

“It’s also closer to Birmingham, where most of our advisers are based, and gives us room for further expansion. We have grown from two staff to seven in the past three years, and with the retail and leisure market showing strong signs of recovery, we anticipate adding to our team in the coming months.”

Hinton Properties has developed more than one million sq ft of commercial, retail, leisure and office space since it was founded in 1991.The company now specialises in retail and leisure development and investment, with a focus on 0.5 to 10 acre sites, principally in the Midlands.
