Roger Taylor, director of corporate and facilities management at the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in Coventry, has been short-listed for the Corporate Real Estate Network (CoreNet) Executive of the Year award.

Birmingham-based Nigel Oliver, DTZ’s UK head of corporate real estate management, nominated Mr Taylor following the firm’s work with the LSC during a fundamental transformation of its service delivery in 2007-8.

Mr Oliver said: “DTZ supported these business objectives by studying working practices and developing and implementing a strategy which delivered a new estate within just 18 months. The new portfolio actively encourages and supports cultural change and is better suited to meet the day-to-day needs of people delivering the service.”

The Executive of the Year will be announced in London in February 2009.

n Community regeneration specialist Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) has appointed Robert Loudoun to manage the production of multi-million pound new build and refurbishment schemes across the West Midlands.

In his role as construction director, Mr Loudoun is responsible for managing the production functions of FHM West Midlands (a Keepmoat company), ranging from refurbishment, to new build and extra care schemes.

Mr Loudoun, aged 43, will also use his 25 years’ experience in the construction industry to help win new contracts, achieve business targets and increase company turn over.

He heads up a department of 87 people.

n Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets has promoted Ross Mackay and Evie Dunn within its Midlands property team.

Based in Lloyds TSB’s Birmingham office, they form part of the team of five dedicated property specialists who support clients across the West and East Midlands.

Mr Mackay has been with Lloyds TSB for seven years, including the last three years within the dedicated Midlands property team. Over the last two years he has supported a wide range of customers, including Calthorpe Estates and Minton Investments and as a result has now been promoted to the position of relationship director, property finance.

Ms Dunn joined Lloyds TSB in July 1994 and since then has worked across several teams within the bank.
