The contractor behind The Cube is holding a recruitment event next week in a bid to find workers to build the nine floors of luxury apartments at the Birmingham development.

BuildAbility Ltd, set up by Birmingham Development Company to build the Cube and any future projects, is offering a unique profit share scheme to entice the best available talent to the project.

The company is currently looking for a team of residential site managers and a foreman for the project that will eventually boast 23 storeys with attractions such as a boutique hotel, waterside cafes, designer retail stores and state of the art office blocks. Almost half of the 244 apartments have already been sold.

Director of Birmingham Development Company and BuildAbility, Neil Edginton, said: “As a new construction firm with a new approach, the firm has guaranteed a share of 60 per cent of BuildAbility’s profits to every employee, which is a clear incentive for those candidates who are seriously committed to becoming involved in The Cube and future complex construction projects.”

BuildAbility Ltd is looking for proactive and enthusiastic candidates that can also think creatively when problem solving. To observe how the applicants interact with other members, a number of live ‘mini projects’ will be set to assess how they practically approach the tasks in hand.

To find those ambitious enough to be part of the special project, the recruitment event will be held at BuildAbility’s office on Commercial Street in central Birmingham on Monday, February 16.
