The Birmingham office of an international architecture practice has been shortlisted for the ‘fastest growing practice’ category at the annual Architects’ Journal ‘AJ100’ awards.

Aidan Ridyard, office director at Broadway Malyan’s Interchange Place operation, said: “This success is testament to our strong project portfolio, with members of the local team currently working on projects such as the £66 million Bournville College and revamp of the National Indoor Area, as well as other high-profile projects in the wider region and nationally.

“It is also due to our wider international growth strategy, as evidenced by our recent office opening in São Paulo, which means we are now one of the world’s most geographically-spread practices, with a network of offices covering South America, the Middle East and China,

“Our growth is also attributable to our diverse sector skills and project portfolio, entrepreneurial approach and commercial focus to partnering with clients, as well as investment in the future success of our practice, and in turn that of clients’ businesses, such as through recent strategic appointments. We are committed to the continued and sustainable growth of the business, to being a leading architecture and planning partner of choice, and are honoured that our business performance has been recognised through this short-listing.”

The awards will be held on May 18 in London.
