Adonis Construction has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new business development manager.

The Black Country-based firm has recruited marketing specialist Carole Whiddon to head up its business development team.

Tasked with strengthening Adonis’ existing client portfolio, which includes brands such as Mercedes, Audi, Kingspan and Dobbies Garden Centres, Ms Whiddon will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, primarily in the Midlands and helping drive forward the company’s growth plans.

She said: “Within the construction sector, Adonis has a reputation for outstanding customer service and delivery. Indeed, at a time when many of its competitors are struggling, Adonis is continuing to win contract after contract. It’s exciting to be part of this and I’m looking forward to building the Adonis’ brand.”

Previously employed by industry-giants including Alfred McAlpine, Trafalgar House and AMEC, Wolverhampton-born Ms Whiddon has spent over 25 years marketing the construction sector.

“Carole brings with her a wealth of relevant experience,” said Adonis’ chairman, Neville Clements. “We’re confident she’ll be a valuable asset to our team and we’re looking forward to benefiting from her expertise which gives her a great head-start for the role.”
