Birmingham-based building services provider J S Wright has won a £600,000 contract to fit out 4,500 sq m of office and retail units for a new luxury apartment scheme in London.

The company, which launched its first London office this year, will be designing, installing and commissioning all the mechanical services for the 15 office and retail units at the Central Square development near the Barbican.

Specialist London property developer Mount Anvil awarded J S Wright the contract following its £4.5 million commission last year for the company to equip the scheme’s 274 apartments with a range of services including a combined heat and power plant.

The office and retail units are to be integral to the Central Square scheme – a mix of one to three-bed apartments in seven blocks of between five to ten storeys funded by Allied Irish Bank.

J S Wright has built up a strong association with Mount Anvil, having been awarded six residential contracts in London worth a total in excess of £10 million by the developer over the past five years, resulting in more than 850 new homes.
