Chartered surveyors and auctioneers Bigwood has let another unit on an industrial estate at Erdington that is becoming a popular location for multi-national companies.

Air Products, which delivers services across the homecare and hospital sectors – and works closely with many of Britain’s health authorities – has signed a five-year lease on a 3,427 sq ft unit at Key Business Park, Kingsbury Road. It is moving to Erdington from Darlaston and will transfer its 20-strong staff to the new base, which will be a distribution centre. Other tenants on Key Business Park are heating and plumbing suppliers Wolseley Centers, outsourcing and distribution company Bunzl, architectural ironmongers suppliers Eisenwareswann and data communications specialist Equant.

Bigwood director Les Balla said: “This latest deal shows that although the commercial property sector is operating in a difficult climate there are still many top companies wanting to relocate to Birmingham. There are several remaining units with leases available and we are confident more top companies will find Key Business Park an attractive proposition with its cluster of important firms already there.”
