One Colmore Row is the new home of the Birmingham risk office of Euler Hermes, the world's largest credit insurance group.
Formerly based in Newhall Street, the office's relocation to new premises in the prestigious Colmore Row development is as a result of continued success and provides space for a growing team.
The Birmingham office is one of nine regional risk and information offices spread across the country and staffed by professionals in credit risk analysis.
Their role is to get to know local companies and provide expert knowledge to businesses on whether new and existing customers will be able to ' make good' on their accounts.
Regional risk manager David Smith said: "For a private company and for a credit insurer, the issues of relying on published information are the same.
"The information can be as much as 22 months out of date, which makes it difficult to rely on when considering how much credit can prudently be given.
"This is why Euler Hermes is making significant investment in searching out its own proprietary information which can be used to make informed decisions when granting credit limits to clients and insuring against non-payment."
The sum total of Euler Hermes' underwritten exposure on more than 212,000 companies is currently in the region of £37 billion.
The Midlands risk office in Birmingham covers 22,000 companies where Euler has underwritten exposure on behalf of its customers.
Mr Smith added: "We are delighted to have found such suitable premises."
