An appeal for directors to join the board of the newly created Colmore Business District BID has received an enthusiastic response from local businesses.
Eighteen applications have been received for the ten business director board positions, a response which has been welcomed by Colmore BID director Richard Brennan.
“To have so many applications which so clearly demonstrate local companies’ support is a great start to the BID (Business Improvement District), which officially went live yesterday,” said Mr Brennan.
The ten business directors will form a board with eight stakeholder directors.
A final list of board members should be announced before the first board meeting, due to be held on April 23.
Work has also begun to recruit a BID manager who will manage the day-to-day delivery of the project, developing strategic partnerships with stakeholders, businesses and the local community.
