The Birmingham office of law firm Cobbetts has helped to raise over £65,000 for national heart charity, The British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The money raised by Cobbetts employees over the past year will be added to BHF’s general funds to support some of the charity’s 1,200 research projects. The charity provides nearly £100 a minute in grants to fund research into the prevention, treatment and causes of heart disease in the UK.

Daniel O’Gorman, corporate partner at Cobbetts and head of CSR at the firm, said: “It has been a privilege to fundraise for the British Heart Foundation which is in desperate need of money to keep its research projects going and raise awareness of heart disease. A special thanks must go to all those that gave so generously and for taking part in our events – everything from the spinathon to the fashion shows.”
