Bank of Scotland Corporate has provided £ 2 million funding to Claimar Care, a Birmingham-based domiciliary care company, to help fund expansion.

The company has grown its monthly turnover from £20,000 to £700,000 since 1999 and the new funds will supply cashflow finance to make for more efficient operations as growth continues.

Claimar Care employs more than 550 people and offers residential care services to 21 local authorities and more than 1,500 service users.

Founded in 1994, the company is joint-owned by Mark Hales, his wife Claire and her parents Jim and Birdie Ceasar.

Mr Hales said: "We plan to grow organically and by acquisition over the next few years so having a robust cash flow is important to us.

" Bank of Scotland Corporate was on hand to help us and was able do what other banks couldn't.

"As our business was growing so quickly we needed a bank that was quick to react to our call for help, and Bank of Scotland Corporate was first to respond with a very competitive offer."
