A start-up website will be emblazoned on poster sites along the Chiltern Railways line after receiving major backing from the train company.

The poster campaign will showcase popular children’s attractions as featured on new website mummyimbored.co.uk, which helps parents to plan days out with their children. Stations along the line from Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone will host the posters, with those featuring Warwick Castle already in place at eight stations including Leamington Spa, Bicester and High Wycombe.

Seona Shuttleworth, PR and promotions executive with Chiltern Railways, said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our customers’ experience of rail travel. There are so many great attractions along our routes that our customers may not be aware of, but mummyimbored.co.uk offers a quick and efficient directory of them. It’s a fantastic concept which helps families plan time together – we’re delighted to offer our support.”

Mummyimbored.co.uk was launched in the summer and has since received almost 30,000 hits. After a successful pilot scheme featuring attractions in Warwickshire, the website is set to be rolled out nationwide.

Creator Nick Boddington, who launched the site after failing to find activities for his son on the web, said. “I’m very grateful to Chiltern for giving us this opportunity. I hoped the concept of the site was a good one, but I never dreamed we’d gain this much support so early on. As well as Warwickshire attractions, we have also attracted several big-name sponsors including Barefoot Books, English Heritage, National Trust and Cottages4you.”
