Staff at the Midland headquarters of a national professional members organisation have donated unwanted clothes to charity.

The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) teamed up with Oxfam, Marks & Spencer and Business in the Community to support the Shwop at Work campaign.

The CIPP hosted a Shwop at Work day at its office in Solihull and employees who took part received £5 M&S vouchers.

All clothes donated will go to Oxfam to be resold, reused or recycled and the money raised will help support people living in poverty. Vickie Moss ACIM, associate director of marketing and business development at the CIPP, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting the Shwop at Work campaign.

“With nearly three million items of clothing sent to landfill every day, the Chartered Institute wanted to play its part for the community and participate in this worthy cause.”
