Get Hooked on Fishing, a charity which uses angling as a method to empower and educate young people, is launching a new identity that it hopes will hook in more Midlands businesses to support its growth plans.

Andrew Walker, manager at Get Hooked on Fishing, explained: “Get Hooked on Fishing Midlands has achieved great success over the past eight years, which has seen the initiative grow from being a pilot scheme for young people into a self sufficient charity, which uses angling as a tool to cater for the many varied needs of people of all ages and abilities.”

He said growing demand has led to development of an umbrella campaign Angling Unlimited which will absorb all the different projects looked after by Get Hooked on Fishing Midlands to specifically assist the elderly, those at risk of social exclusion, youngsters, and those living with disabilities. Its aim is to allow Get Hooked on Fishing Midlands to appeal to a broad spectrum of people.
