A Midland farmer plans to stage a charity rock concert on top of Offa's Dyke to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

Andrew Beavan of Black Hall Farm in Shropshire on the English/Welsh border has chosen Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album to be played live by a tribute band on August 4.

Famous for its commanding views across central Wales the 1,200 year old Offa’s Dyke, which formed a defensive line along the border, is attributed to Offa, King of Mercia, a ruler from Anglo Saxon times.

Tickets for the concert are only available in advance at £18 on-line at www.ticketweb.co.uk.
