A wide range of charities have snapped up all available spaces at a Thrive-inspired forum that will give representatives an insight into how to do business with the corporate sector.
New Year New Conscience/New Year New Connections – How to Make a Difference in 2009, is an interactive workshop to be held on Tuesday, January 20th.
Delighted organisers have now confirmed bookings with a wide range of charities from theatres and community groups to others who support work overseas.
The representatives from the charities and corporate sector will be able to take part in discussions, have the opportunity to network with interested parties, as well as benefiting from case study presentations on some successful charity/corporate partnerships.
Keen Thrive supporter Alex Bishop, immediate past Chair of Birmingham Future and Partner at Shoosmiths, heads up the team behind the event. He said: “We are really delighted that we have such a wide range of groups from the charity and corporate sectors coming along.”
Alongside the better known charities will be smaller organisations that can often struggle to secure funding for even small scale projects.
Alex said: “What is exciting is that we hope they will be able to learn from others’ experiences and in just a couple of hours discover why this can make a big difference to the way they work and find support.”
The event is sponsored and hosted by Pinsent Masons, who are providing a venue and refreshments.
