A Champagne bar has opened at Birmingham Airport as part of a £120,000 investment.

The Blanc et Noir bar is part of wider plans from food travel firm SSP UK which will see £1 million invested and 55 jobs created at the airport. Wayne Chapman, brands director at SSP UK, said: “The opening of Blanc et Noir Champagne and wine bar at Birmingham Airport is part of our redevelopment of the retail and catering environment within the terminal.

“Over the past months SSP UK has opened the first BK360 design Burger King in a UK airport and Upper Crust, with a new M&S Simply Food outlet launching this month as part of a total £1 million investment.”

Richard Gill, head of market development, commercial, at the airport said: “We believe the new Champagne bar will appeal to passengers who are looking for something a bit special.

"The opening of Blanc et Noir is the latest stage in the £13 million terminal redevelopment and widens the choice for passengers seeking refreshment while waiting to board flights.”
