The annual charity cricket tournament organised by solicitors from law practice Challinors has netted £450 for the County Air Ambulance Service.
Ten teams took part in the indoor sixes cricketing challenge at Edgbaston Cricket Centre, with the winning team being awarded half of the entry fees to be donated to their chosen charity.
Alongside Challinors cricket maestros, skippered by assistant solicitor Andrew Thomson, were teams from the West Bromwich Building Society, Allied Irish Bank, RSM Bentley Jennison, JPM Insurance, Shaw and Co, St Philips Chambers, Bond Wolfe, Ernst and Young and Boundary Sports.
Andrew said: “This is the third year we have held the tournament and again this year it proved to be a fun way of raising valuable funds for a worthwhile charity – this year chosen by the team from the West Bromwich Building Society who were overall winners.”
Peter Battersby, Lending Relationship Manager of the West Bromwich Building Society, added: “As winners of the cricket tournament, our team was given the opportunity to select the beneficiary for the funds raised; The County Air Ambulance Service was chosen as it is the Building Society’s nominated charity this year.”
