Art store group Castle Galleries has doubled its Warwickshire headquarters less than a year after moving to its new base.

The group, which has an annual turnover of more than £10 million, re-located to A & J Mucklow Groups Tachbrook Link, Tachbrook Park Drive, Leamington, last August.

But following further expansion of its stores throughout the UK, the company has now leased the premises next door to take its headquarters to a total of 23,000 sq ft.

Forty staff in the framing, production, administration, IT and marketing departments will be based at the premises.

Ian Weatherby-Blythe, managing director of Castle Galleries, said: "We have increased from eight stores to 15 across the UK during the last 12 months and we are looking to expand again over the next few years.

"We have doubled the size of our space in Beatties in Solihull and have opened a store in the Mailbox in Birmingham which means we needed more space for our framing and production work.

" When the next- door premises became available, we thought it was an opportunity too good to resist and should snap it up because we knew we would need further room for expansion.

Leamington-based property agents Evans Hardy Bromwich acted on behalf of property developers and investors A & J Mucklow (Investments) Limited in letting the property to Castle Galleries.
