Fundraisers at St Richard’s Hospice are calling on residents to spare £1 to drive forward their annual raffle and be in line to win a white Honda CR-Z.
Ticket sales from the raffle will help raise funds for St Richard’s care of patients and their families living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
The raffle was started eight years ago and has proved very popular. The Honda car raffle was launched at the Three Counties Autumn Show with almost 1,000 tickets sold in just two days.
Phillippa Jones, St Richard’s community fundraiser said: “This wonderful raffle prize has been made possible through the generous support of Startin Honda Worcester and Worcester Racecourse.
“We are hoping to raise over £50,000 in the next six months and will be taking the car out and selling tickets at supermarkets, garden centres and other popular venues. We really hope people will spare £1 to support us, and may win a fantastic car in the process.”
Tickets can also be purchased at £1 each from St Richard’s Hospice by telephoning the Fundraising Department on 01905 763963 or calling into the Startin Honda showroom.
The winning ticket will be drawn on March 28 at St Richard’s Hospice.
