The multi-million pound redevelopment of the Bromsgrove campus of North East Worcestershire College is on schedule for completion this summer.

Facilities will be ready for use for the new college year in September.

NatWest Commercial Banking has funded the scheme along with the already completed revamp of the College's Redditch campus.

The College provides full and part time further and higher education for the North Worcestershire area.

The Redditch campus has seen the construction of a new stand-alone sixth form centre for pupils studying for A level and a variety of new facilities for vocational courses which include the building of a new training restaurant, hair and beauty department and a learning resources centre.

The Bromsgrove campus has already seen the completion of an impressive centre for engineering technology and the Artrix, a new theatre built with funding from Bromsgrove District Council.

The facilities will be joined this summer by new buildings which will house the College's Schools of Business and Art.

Neil Bromley, principal of North East Worcestershire College, said: "We believe passionately in delivering the best for our students, and to do that we need to have the best facilities.

" This redevelopment programme enhances our teaching facilities and allows us to give the best education possible to our students. I am excited by the environment that we are creating as we continue to strive to enhance the reputation of the college."
