A national campaign to boost enterprise has made its mark in the West Midlands.
Today is the launch of Enterprise Week 2007 which will see activity across the region.
Make Your Mark in Coventry is helping to organise 115 events staged across the city involving thousands of young people and has won the backing of city council leader Ken Taylor who is sporting a campaign tattoo for the week.
Enterprise Week is the biggest national celebration of enterprise and innovation in the UK and runs until Sunday.
Around 30 schools, colleges and universities in the city will take part in the Make Your Mark Challenge which requires entrants to come up with money making ideas.
On Wednesday the Girls! Make Your Mark is being held at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Fillongley and is the biggest Women's Enterprise Day event in the West Midland.
It is an opportunity for 100 school girls to meet 100 female entrepreneurs and enterprising business women from Coventry and beyond.
Coun Taylor said: "The exciting element of this week is that you see people coming up with great ideas and then having the chance to turn them into reality.
"It brings out the best in innovation and can act as a launch-pad for new businesses or community projects."
