Employees from Cadbury World have donated more than £600 to the RSPCA Leaps and Bounds Appeal, following a range of fundraising activities at the Bournville-based attraction.

The attraction has raised money for the charity in the past, with this latest fundraising effort primarily raised though a raffle that took place at the Cadbury World Christmas party. The donation includes a contribution of £200 from Kraft Foods, as part of its cashmatch initiative, and additional donations were also made by members of the public, who recently visited the attraction.

The fundraising activities were organised by Cadbury World employees Suzanne McFerran, a visitor services manager, and Fiona Bartley, a HR advisor.

Ms McFerran, who also works as a community champion for the site, said: “We’re extremely proud of the cash we’ve raised, not only from our employees, but also through the kind donations of our visitors.”

The RSPCA Leaps and Bounds Appeal was launched in October 2011 with the aim of raising £3 million in 12 months to build the new animal hospital and rehoming centre in Frankley.
