Supermeal is an online takeaway discovery platform which rewards takeaway lovers with cash-back on every order.

It also offers free websites and commission-free apps, allowing restaurant owners to retain their brand identity and promote products.

Over the past ten months, revenue has grown to £90,000 and the service has signed up more than 400 restaurants and 5,000 consumers in the West Midlands through organic growth and referral reward programmes.

Digital Investor of the Year - Midven

Over the past 25 years, Midven has invested more than £60 million into West Midlands SMEs and is firmly positioned as the region's leading early-stage and growth investor.

Midven continues to extend its reach through the recent appointment to manage a £35 million equity portion of the Midlands Engine Investment Fun as well as the launch of the firm's first Enterprise Investment Scheme fund.

Innovation in Education - Learning Labs

Learning Labs is the creators of FlashAcademy, a new platform for schools, supporting teachers to deliver learning for pupils who do not have English as their first language.

The platform can be used on a smartphone, tablet and PC and teaches English from over 30 different home languages.

Learning Labs has worked with schools to aid the development of this specially adapted language platform and to ensure it is addressing the challenges schools face every day.

Innovation in Public Services - University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

At University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, the aim is to optimize the amount of direct contact time clinical staff have with patients as well as ensuring the right person is undertaking the right task.

The team has developed an app called 'CareClox' to collect data, incorporating a reporting system to demonstrate time, task and staff group.

It is a simple, one-touch approach which enables real-time, large-volume data collection.

Innovation in Manufacturing - C.Brandauer & Co and Jaguar Land Rover (joint winners)

C.Brandauer & Co is one of the UK's leading independent presswork specialists, manufacturing millions of precision components every week.

The company, which employs 65 people at its state-of-the-art factory in Birmingham, invests heavily in the latest technologies to ensure it can compete globally, with 70 per cent of its turnover going overseas to China, the EU and US.

Jaguar Land Rover is the UK's largest car manufacturer.

Opened in October 2014, its £1 billion Engine Manufacturing Centre near Wolverhampton is home to the Ingenium engine family, which supplies engines to its vehicle assembly operations in the UK at Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Halewood and internationally to India, Brazil and Slovakia.

Innovation in Medicine and Health - Professor Bob Stone

Led by Professor Bob Stone, a team at the University of Birmingham has been researching, developing and evaluating virtual reality solutions to support the cognitive and physical rehabilitation of patients following traumatic injury.

As well as recently completing two successful trials in West Midlands hospitals, the team has been collaborating closely with the UK's defence medical services to develop a 'mixed reality' approach to the future training of medical emergency response teams.

Innovation in PropTech - Nimbus

Nimbus was created by brothers Simon and Paul Davis, bringing together their passion for property, data and technology.

There are two mapping products - the free Nimbus Maps Essentials and Elite which is aimed at property professionals.

Nimbus Maps gives users easy access to a large, aggregated data set of property intelligence but also invests heavily in training the users on how to get the most from the information.

Innovation in Arts and Culture - Ludic Rooms

Ludic Rooms is a post-digital arts organisation with a collaborative approach and a passion for creative technology.

In 2017, it ran the 'Open Citizens' project which created a bench that encouraged chat between strangers, motorised scooters that go faster the louder you scream, rubbish bins that reward good behaviour with sound effects and a vast line of dancing Coventry people projected around the city.

West Midlands Woman in Tech - Cerys Johnson, REPL Group

Cerys Johnson is the chief executive of global technology solutions company REPL.

Working alongside some of the biggest names in retail, she oversees a team of 280 experts at sites in Henley-in-Arden and Warwick.

She has set up an internal 'Women In REPL' group to support and inspire female employees, to share ideas and encourage young women to start a career in technology.

She is also a keen supporter of the Young Enterprise Scheme.

Digital Young Person of the year - Chris Meah, School of Code

Chris Meah started School of Code in 2015, a Birmingham-based social enterprise focused on helping different types of people to benefit from technology.

The school achieves this through an online platform and a free, 16-week coding bootcamp which takes anyone from scratch to software developer, helping them into jobs.

Chris also runs artificial intelligence consultancy Cogcept and sits on the West Midlands Combined Authority Digital Board.
