Hortons’ Estate, the Birmingham-based family-owned property company, was awarded the Victorian Society’s Birmingham and West Midlands Group inaugural ‘Conservation Award’ for its work in restoring the facade of The Grand, on Colmore Row.

A special ceremony was held in the newly refurbished offices of the Grade II* listed building, at which the group’s chairman, Stephen Hartland, presented Peter Horton, chairman of Hortons’ Estate, with a bronze plaque and scroll.

Around 50 guests, including members of the Victorian Society, Hortons’ Estate and those who have worked on the restoration project, attended the event.
