A family-owned Black Country engineering business is gearing-up for further growth after securing funding to purchase an additional unit.
Surface Finishing Engineering (SFE), based in Wolverhampton, received funding from Barclays to purchase an 11,000 square foot unit next door to its existing premises on the Webner industrial estate.
The company specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of surface treatment process plant and fume extraction equipment for both domestic and international clients.
The business was established in 1994 from a small unit in Wolverhampton which it subsequently outgrew, moving to the Webner industrial estate in 2012
SFE has a customer base primarily in the aerospace, defence and automotive industries and can boast big-names such as Rolls Royce, Chromalloy and GE Aviation Systems among its customers.
The business currently employs 15 staff, skilled in the areas of engineering its specialist products – a figure that is likely to increase as the business continues to see an increase in demand for its products.
Kirpal Delveir, SFE managing director, said: “We are definitely seeing an upturn in business confidence which is translating into significant new orders.
“My son Vic has also joined the company as our business development director and has been working hard to secure new clients.
“The new unit will enable us to fulfil new orders and stand us in good stead for future growth.”
Manoj Patel, relationship director at Barclays, said: “Kirpal has rapidly grown the business since its inception in 1994.
“I am delighted we have been able to assist him with the commercial mortgage to purchase the new unit along with an increased working capital facility to assist the company with its growth.”
