Fifty guests and sponsors of the Birmingham Post Business Awards 2016 gathered at The Belfry golf club and hotel resort for a special breakfast launch event.

The breakfast, which was hosted by The Belfry's sales director Katie Niland, heard from Birmingham Post editor-in-chief Marc Reeves about what is key period for the city's economy ahead of the EU Referendum.

Mr Reeves also encouraged as many of the city's businesses as possible to enter the 2016 awards to celebrate their achievements and the part they are playing in Birmingham's growing economy.

Ms Niland said: "We were delighted to be able to host this event and support these prestigious awards.

"The support of The Birmingham Post and the highly esteemed sponsors is essential to the commercial success of The Belfry, therefore this is a great opportunity to show thanks for this continued support.
