A giant eye clinic has opened in Birmingham city centre on the back of a £2 million investment.
Optical Express has opened a state-of-the-art, 7,000 sq ft, clinic on 31 Temple Street offering a full range of optometry and ophthalmic services including laser eye and lens replacement surgery.
Its new location, on the ground floor of Imperial House, has been purpose-built with separate surgery suites.
Previously, patients who required certain kinds of lens surgery would have had to embark on a 100 mile round trip but with the opening of the Birmingham clinic, consultations, treatment and aftercare are now available in the city centre.
Nitin Jain, regional manager for Optical Express, said: “In response to the demand for our services, we are very proud to be increasing our eye surgery options to our patients in the Midlands.
“Investment in the area including the jobs that have been created demonstrates Optical Express’ on-going commitment to deliver the highest quality of eye care to the people of Birmingham.
“Laser eye and lens implant surgery has a huge impact on the lives of patients, allowing the vast majority of them to live a glasses free life. Anyone interested in learning more about life-changing laser eye surgery or lens implant surgery can benefit from a free consultation and iScan eye care report at Optical Express in Birmingham.”
