A further three top sponsors have revealed why they are set to celebrate Birmingham’s sensational business highlights.
IKEA, Janine Edwards at St James’s Place Wealth Management and Birmingham City Business School are joining firms including Turkish Airlines and Birmingham Airport to support this year’s Birmingham Post Business Awards.
More than 100 businesses entered BPBA 2015 and the glittering awards ceremony – one of the most important events in the region’s professional calendar – saw 650 attend to congratulate the winners.
This year’s gala will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at ICC Birmingham. Hosts will be comedian and TV personality Dominic Holland and ITV weather presenter Emma Jesson.
Each year the awards attract a wealth of prestigious sponsors.
Here is why a further three of this year’s sponsors are on board:
IKEA - Not-For-Profit Organisation Award
IKEA Birmingham Store Manager, Amy Hutchinson, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the not for profit category at the Birmingham Post Business Awards this October.
“At IKEA we are guided by our vision of ‘creating a better everyday life for the many people’.
“We want to make a difference to the people and communities we work with – positively contributing to their economic, social and environmental development and forming relationships built on mutual trust.
“We are dedicated to having a positive impact on local people and to be a good neighbour within the local community we operate. We aim to be regarded by our customers and co-workers as an environmentally and socially responsible company.”
Janine Edwards, Principal Partner Practice, St. James’s Place Wealth Management – Sales & Marketing Award
Janine Edwards said: “It is an enormous privilege for me and my team at my Practice to be intimately involved in such a high profile event as the Birmingham Post Business Awards.
“I strongly believe that our best companies deserve real recognition and these awards are the perfect way to go about it. There is much to be learnt from the successful companies and, by celebrating their accomplishments; we will incentivise others to follow in their footsteps.
“My philosophy centres on establishing trust and building valuable, long term relationships and so I see these awards as a wonderful opportunity to encourage a strong, tightly knit Birmingham business community that works in the interests of everybody.”
• The Partner represents only St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) for the purpose of advising solely on the Group’s wealth management products and services, more details of which are set out on the Group’s website here The title ‘Partner’ is the marketing term used to describe St. James’s Place representatives.
Birmingham City Business School – Professional Services Award
Dr Dawn Albery, Dean of Birmingham City Business School, said: “We are extremely honoured to be returning once again as a sponsor at the annual Birmingham Post Business Awards, and this year we have put our support behind the Professional Services Award.
“As one of five Universities in Birmingham we know what it takes to stand out from the crowd and so we will be looking for a professional services business that, over the past 12 months, has taken huge strides to be unique and one that has demonstrated innovation and technological advancements as well as personal development.
“We look forward to looking at the amazing nominations, selecting our finalists and presenting our winner with their award on the evening.”
