The Birmingham office of international accountancy firm Mazars has raised £1,201 for Sunfield children’s charity.

It follows an afternoon tea event at Hotel du Vin attended by around 70 female clients and contacts.

Business adviser and tax specialist Adele Raiment said: “It was a brilliant occasion – an opportunity for everyone to get together and meet like-minded individuals to drink tea, eat cake and raise money for a fantastic cause.’’

Based in Clent, Sunfield is an independent residential special school supporting boys and girls, aged 6-19, with complex learning needs, including autism. It has been helping children for over 80 years.

Ms Raiment explained: “By getting to know each child, and tailoring services to their needs, Sunfield makes a meaningful difference – often when children have been unable to thrive elsewhere.

“Its vision is a world where people with complex needs and autism succeed and flourish.”

Birmingham partner Ian Holder said: “Mazars’ Birmingham office has raised £7,385 since June through CSR activities and donations from the Birmingham Charity Pot for a range of causes including St Mary’s Hospice, PAPYRUS, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and many more.

“As well as raising money for these causes staff members regularly volunteer their time to different charities such as an event at The Birmingham Dogs Home coming up in January.”
