Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has appointed seven new specialist banking professionals dedicated to the property SME sector in the West Midlands.

Led by head of property, Damian Mohan, the new recruits bring over 160 years of collective experience in commercial banking to the team.

Joining Mr Mohan are Harjit Samra, Andy Watts, Dave Quinney, Mike Murphy, Demetrius Demetriou and Dave Marlow

They will provide guidance and support for property businesses with turnover of up to £25 million.

The team will be working on deals similar to the finance package recently provided for Birmingham-based Parkfield Building Services.

Parkfield used a loan from the bank to purchase its own premises in Witton and facilitate growth.

Funding was granted using the Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) and, as part of the scheme, Lloyds Bank is offering discounts of one per cent to all SMEs in all sectors for the life of their loan.

Mr Mohan said: “A wealth of successful property businesses are located across the West Midlands, and it is for this reason that we have further strengthened our dedicated local property team, which offers guidance to these real estate businesses as they accelerate their growth strategies.

“The property sector is crucial to the on-going resurgence of the region’s economy, and our new team is made up of specialist property relationship managers who have extensive knowledge of the sector and are on hand to support organisations looking to enhance their business strategies and capabilities.”
