Warwickshire craft cider maker Hogan’s Cider has opened up a pop-up cider house in Moseley.
The bar, which opened for business on Halloween in the heart of Moseley village, is set to stay open until January 3 2016.
The firm said it hoped the Alcester Road bar would draw in “inquisitive cider drinkers” and added that it felt Moseley was the perfect location for such a venture.
Hogan’s Cider founder and managing director Allen Hogan said: “Opening the pop-up in Moseley alongside the Dark Horse seemed like a great opportunity for us to get a presence in this really vibrant community.
“Also we saw a gap in the market with many great cask ale bars available in Birmingham but few selling more than a couple of ciders.
“Our cider house gives cider drinkers as much choice as their craft beer counterparts are now regularly getting.”
Mr Hogan added: “The thinking behind the bar was to showcase a wide range of interesting ciders alongside some old favourites and with a range of close to 25 traditional, keg and a delicious hot mulled cider there really is something for all cider lovers.
“For those crazy enough not to love cider we also have some fantastic craft keg beers from Adnams and Camden Brewery.”
The Hogan’s Cider venue house is open from 5.30pm to 11.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 12 noon to 12.30am from Friday to Sunday.
