VIPS and businesses turned out in force last week to officially celebrate the opening of the city’s newest and most talked about restaurant, Gas Street Social at the Mailbox .

Guests were treated to complimentary dishes from Gas Street Social’s extensive spring menu , as well as craft beers, fine wines and signature cocktails.

The venue has proved an extremely popular addition to Birmingham’s social scene and has been fully booked each night since opening earlier this month.

On the menu is a range of tried and tested sharing dishes, grazing boards, tapas-style social plates, and locally sourced meats and seafood, including the wood smoked Loch Duart salmon skewers with pickled ginger and the pan-seared Tidenham duck breast with a homemade 12-spice sauce.

Its speciality cocktails have been a big hit among discerning customers, with The Socialite – which combines Finlandia vodka, Aperol, pineapple, lime and passion fruit – already achieving signature status.
