A security fence manufacturer is on the acquisition trail after a shake-up that has seen 15 jobs created.

Citadel Security Products, which supplies to the security, leisure and fencing sectors, is repositioning itself for growth by investing £300,000 in staff and technology and plotting takeover deals.

The firm has now extended its interests into structural glass and architectural handrail systems, with the purchase of Sheffield-based specialist manufacturer Dryad.

Managing director, Paul Green, said: “We have invested significantly in our computer aided design capabilities, both in terms of staff recruitment and training and from the point of view of the technology, both software and hardware.”

Citadel has enjoyed strong demand in recent years for its bespoke access ramps that meet Disability Discrimination Act requirements.
